Claimant: Lee Flanagan
Claim: Accident in a Edinburgh nightclub claim
Award: £3,250 in compensation

Lee Flanagansuffered an accident in an Edinburgh nightclub. A glass had been dropped by another party and the nightclub employees had attempted to clear up the mess. They however did not do a particularly good job and the area remained slippy.

As Lee walked from the dance floor back to where she and her friends were sitting she slipped and fell and sustained small but very deep cut in her left wrist from a piece of glass which the nightclub staff had not properly cleaned up.

She initially tried to deal with the matter on her own with the help of her father. She got nowhere as the insurers for the nightclub simply said that she was drunk and it was all her own fault.

In fact, all of the evidence showed that the incident happened very early on in the evening and that none of Lee’s friends were at all drunk.

With the assistance of the Redress lawyers LE received £3,250 in compensation.
